As you know we are moving away, all your MetTemps activity will transition to the new in-house system which is called MyView. 

In view of this transition the deadlines for submission of your timesheets have now changed: 

Important Deadline

All timesheets for work done between 24/02/25 – 30/03/25 must be submitted by midnight on 30/03/25 and approved by 12 noon on 31/03/25 to be processed for payroll.

Access Payslip via HR Self-Service

Step 1: Activate the staff IT account (if not already done so) 

  • You will need to provide the line manager with the UserID, which is listed in the monthly MetTemp report that is sent to you.
  • Line managers will need to follow ITS guidance and activate the IT account.

    • Step 2: Request remote access (VDI)

    The MetTemp casual will need to request VDI access via the IT and Estates Self-Service Portal using the IT Service option 'Remote Access, WiFi, Network, Servers, Data Backup and Restore'.

    Registration check list

    Please have the following information to hand before registering:

    • Your CV (in Word or rich text format)
    • Your student number and course details
    • Your National Insurance Number for employment opportunities
    • If you don't have a National Insurance Number - click here

    Please note students are restricted to the hours they can be employed. If you are from a non-EU country your eligibility to work will be determined by your visa status.

    How many hours can I work?

    Students should only work a maximum of 20 hours a week. Outside of term students can work more than this.

    International students can legally work a maximum of 20 hours per week and this will be noted on your visa. Students with T4 Visa require an enrolment letter, this letter can be requested from Student HUB.

    Graduates can only be offered work for up to 1 year after graduating and are not restricted to any hours of work.

    Delivering student employability

    London Met is helping students develop workplace skills, experience and confidence by offering on campus work opportunities. As a London Met manager you can advertise your jobs free of charge as well as being able to view students’ profiles and applications. Met Temps takes care of all the paperwork including eligibility checks, payroll set up, timesheets and paying the students.
