Careers and Employability Job Shop

As the employment and volunteering service for London Metropolitan University, we help to find exciting opportunities for current students and recent alumni, on campus and through our network of external organisations.

Met Temps is part of the Job Shop which is run by the University’s Careers and Employability team. This service has been set up to give students at London Metropolitan University greater opportunities to gain work experience whilst studying.

London Met managers looking for staff

Delivering student employability

London Met is helping students develop workplace skills, experience and confidence by offering on campus work opportunities. As a London Met manager you can advertise your jobs free of charge as well as being able to view students’ profiles and applications.

Met Temps takes care of all the paperwork including eligibility checks, payroll set up, timesheets and paying the students. Met Temps sits within the Careers and Employability Job Shop. This service has been set up to give students at London Metropolitan University greater opportunities to gain work experience whilst studying.

Not-for-profit organisations looking for volunteers

London Met student volunteers

If you are a not-for-profit organisation you can register with Met Temps. The platform will allow you to engage with London Metropolitan University students and find potential volunteers. At London Met we encourage, emphasise and promote volunteering as an excellent resource for students who are looking to get experience, develop skills, and, most importantly, give something to the community.

Once you have registered with Met Temps you can post volunteering positions free of charge and use the system as a recruitment tool to shortlist and filter applications.
